Meditation Courses

Meditation courses are held several times each year at Karma Choeling, see Calendar page for further details.

Beginner Classes

Do you want to learn to meditate? In this course we will explore how to meditate, the reasons for meditating and how meditation enhances your health and well-being. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion and each class will conclude with a cup of tea and a chance to chat and connect.

Intermediate Classes

For those who wish to advance beyond basic meditation, this course explores several techniques that can help establish a calm, stable, relaxed and more awake mind. The techniques have been adapted from, but are firmly rooted in, Tibetan Buddhist practices, and people have found them very effective for enhancing meditation in our modern world. There will be plenty of opportunity for learning and connecting with one another over a cup of tea at the end of the class.

Philosophy and meditation course

“Navigating an increasingly busy and perilous world”

This philosophy course progressively explores the ancient tradition of meditation for dealing with the stress of increased busy-ness as well as the existential challenges that our society and planet are confronting. The course will cover both theory and meditation practice. The format will include discussion and concludes with a cup of tea and a chance to chat and connect.
